The Scharbauer motto is “Leave it better than you found it.” I think every generation has taken that challenge to take what we have and try to make it better.

I just try to serve where I can. I think a lot of times giving back can mean a lot of things. Instead of sitting around and complaining about not having things, like why don’t we have this, or why don’t we have that, if we see an issue, or see a problem, go try to fix it. If that’s the way I give back, I feel like that is the best way. If a charity or something needs food to feed people, I want to be able to give it to them and help them do that. Just serve wherever you can serve. Everybody is called and designed to do different things and I just want to do my part. I think if you put God first, others second, and yourself third, it’s really hard to go wrong. I think you’ll get provided for in ways you could never understand. -John Scharbauer
